Margaret C. (Chang) Chi

October 1, 1927 — February 18, 2022

Hudson

Hudson, MA

Margaret C. (Chang) Chi passed away peacefully at her home in Hudson, surrounded by her family, on February 18, 2022.  The kindest and most loving of people, she will be profoundly missed by her daughters Eileen (Chi) Stramaglia and husband Steve of Maynard, Alice Chi of Sudbury and her son Fred Chi and wife Cheryl of Sudbury.

Margaret’s greatest joy was spending time with family, especially being part of her five grandchildren’s lives - whom she adored. Michael, Jessie, Katie, Brian and Sarah kept her young at heart and always smiling - amazing her that they “were never cold” when wearing shorts in the colder months. She was an avid reader and gardener and loved travelling to learn about different parts of the world.

Always seeing the good in people, she will be remembered by all for her infectious smile and laugh, true caring of others, strong independence and funny one-liners – even though she didn’t mean to be funny.  She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Yin, her second husband, Henry Hsi-Kuang Chi and her sister Jean Sun.  She leaves behind her sisters, Grace Yueh, Ruth Chang, Eleanor Liu, brother, Ted Chang and his wife Nancy and close sister-in-law, Daisy Jen along with many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a member of the Sudbury United Methodist Church. A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one's charity of choice. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA is assisting the family with arrangements.
