Maureen Joyce (O'Donnell) Giancola

May 5, 1956 — December 14, 2019

Hudson

Maureen J. (O’Donnell) Giancola, 63, longtime companion of Bob Brennan, of Hudson, previously of Lake Boon, in Stow, passed away peacefully at the Reservoir Rehab in Marlborough, MA on December 14th , surrounded by her beloved family, after a period of declining health.

Maureen was born in Marlborough Hospital on May 5th, 1956, a daughter of the late Hudson Police Sgt. Charles W. and Patricia T. (Wallace) O’Donnell. She was raised in Hudson MA, where she graduated from Hudson High School in the class of 1974.

Maureen is survived by her daughter, Gina L. Giancola of Winchendon and her son, Randy M. Giancola of Marlborough; her three grandchildren: Gabriel Giancola, John A. Dansin III, Janelle A. Dansin, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved companion and love of her life, Robert Brennan of Hudson. In addition to her parents, Maureen is predeceased by her sisters, Sharon M. Girard and Kathleen Headberg. She was also predeceased by Bob’s son, Matthew Brennan.

Maureen was a very kind, selfless person who devoted her life to caring for others, both in her personal and her professional life. She was a longtime employee of Partner’s Healthcare where she had many clients to whom she was devoted. She had previously been employed at Yours and Mine in Hudson for many years.

Maureen cherished her family times with her children and grandchildren and especially the times spent with the love of her life, Bob Brennan. She leaves us with many fond memories of time spent at Sebago Lake, Lake Boon, and the Bahamas.

Services for Maureen will be private. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home is honored to assist with Maureen’s arrangements. A Celebration of Life, for family and close friends, will be held to honor Maureen at a later date.

Maureen’s family would like to thank her caregivers, especially her niece, Stephanie Keane, the Reservoir Rehab and the Marlborough Hospital for their loving care in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Maureen Giancola to the American Cancer Society.
