Michael G. Rosenbaum, 80, of Stow, MA died on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Care One in Concord, MA after a long illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carole (Oliva) who he celebrated 49 years of marriage with on April 20th; one son, Justin Rosenbaum and his wife Alyson of Framingham; and his adored grandson, Jack.

He is also survived by his sister, Susan Sutro and her husband Michael of California; sister-in-law Susan Lyons and her husband Daniel of South Carolina along with his niece, nephew and many relatives and friends.

Mike was born in Boston, MA, son of the late John and Edna (Gordon) Rosenbaum. He was raised in Brookline, MA and graduated from Brookline High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ohio State University, earned his C.P.M. designation and attended New England School of Law. Mike had an extensive background in Real Estate, he was a Massachusetts licensed Real Estate Broker and worked in Commercial Real Estate for many years.  Most recently he headed MGR/Commercial Real Estate Services based in Concord, MA.  in Asset Management. He gained national exposure representing Paine Webber Properties and First Winthrop holding key roles in their Asset Management Departments. Early in his career he gained valuable experience managing trophy real estate properties owned by The Prudential Insurance Co. (Prudential Center Boston, MA) and Spaulding &Slye (State Street Bank Building).Throughout his career he held a variety of professional positions; among  were  Vice President of Operations for COMPASS Management and Leasing, Inc., Director of Asset Services for Cushman & Wakefield of Massachusetts, Inc.,  member of the Board of Directors of B.O.M.A., member of the Board of Directors of YouthBuild Boston and  President of its affiliate Dudley Empowerment Economic Partners, Inc.

In addition to his active professional career, Mike always found time to enjoy many other interests.  He enjoyed playing tennis and squash and frequented Longfellow Tennis Club in Wayland, MA.He loved to travel and especially enjoyed touring Europe. His passion was his family;  yearly February ski vacations and yearly April get aways to the Caribbean were just a small part of the life he cherished with them.  Above all, Mike enjoyed time spent in the company of  his family and treasured every moment with Carole, Justin, Aly and Jack.  He has been a Stow resident since 1981.

Mike’s family wishes to express their profound gratitude to his entire medical team, doctors and to the staff at Care One Concord for their compassionate care.

A graveside service was held privately with family at Brookside Cemetery in Stow, MA. A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held at a later date to be announced. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike may be made to:  American Parkinson Disease Association or American Cancer Society.
