Theresa E. (Garrett) Baer

Spring Branch, TX

Theresa E. (Garrett) Baer passed peacefully in her sleep, two days after her 93rd birthday, in Spring Branch, TX.  She is the only child of the late Richard and Edna (Gaucher) Garrett, of Hudson, MA.  In 1948, she married Raymond G. Baer, they moved to Berlin, MA where they raised their two children.  Due to declining health issues they moved to TX to be near their son Garrett in 2014.  Raymond passed away 5 days after their 71st anniversary.

Theresa worked at the Spaulding Shoe Co. in Marlborough, MA. for many years before becoming an inspector for the National Semiconductor Corp. She believed in taking care of herself, walking 3 miles every day, until the age of 83!  She was renowned for her cooking, impeccable housecleaning, and gardening skills.  In her spare time, she loved to ski, go on cruises, and take vacations with her family.  She was also a talented piano player and enjoyed listening to Willie Nelson while drinking a Lynchburg Lemonade.

Theresa is survived by her daughter Kathleen Madden of South Carolina, her son Garrett Baer, and his wife Ellen, of Texas. She is also survived by her granddaughters Lisa Madden-Reed and her husband Jimmy of South Carolina, and Chelsea Sanchez and her husband Fernando of Texas. Her great grandchildren: Jake and his wife Lexi, Trey, Brek, and Barea, and her great-great grandson Wyatt.  In addition to her husband and parents, she survived her son-in-law Thomas Madden, and her grandson Wesley Baer. Theresa was blessed with a good, long life and will be missed by many to include her cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. May she Rest in Peace.
